GREATER EASTERN CAPE TOUR

This 5 day tour is filled with sights and excitement, from the ADDO Elephant Park to Coffee Bay and much more.

The Eastern Cape is the second biggest province in South Africa. This is where you will have an opportunity to see the big 7. It is on this trip when you having a good day, you might see the 5 out of the big 7. This tour is a mixture of Nature, Culture and History of the Eastern Cape. It takes you to the Historical villages of the Eastern Cape including the village of Qunu, Nelson Mandela's village where you will meet the friendly people of the Eastern Cape where you will also learn more from them.

DAY 1

PORT ELIZABETH TO ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK

Pick up at Port Elizabeth airport and drive to ADDO Elephant National Park for an afternoon Game drive and overnight at ADDO.

DAY 2

ADDO ELEPHANT NATIONAL PARK TO QUNU VILLAGE

Morning game drive. After game drive we will drive to King Williams Town and stop at the Steve Biko Centre. From The Steve Biko Centre we will drive to Qunu Village and overnight at the village. Accommodation at this village will be a homestay. Guests will be hosted by families. Here they will cook their meals with their host families. Host families will teach them how to cook their daily meals. 

DAY 3

FULL DAY AT QUNU VILLAGE

This day is dedicated to Nelson Mandela. On this day we will spend the day at the village Qunu hosted by the community of Qunu. Here we will walk with community guides in the village with the visit at the Nelson Mandela Youth and Heritage Centre, visit The Sliding Stone where Nelson Mandela used to play as a young Boy, we will also visit the site of Nelson Mandela’s school where he was given the name Nelson. We will later walk back to the village and enjoy sundowners at the village pub with the locals

DAY 4

QUNU TO COFFEE BAY

After breakfast we will drive to Nelson Mandela Museum in Mthatha and later drive to Coffee Bay, check in at Coffee Shack. Later go for a village dinner where we will enjoy dancing and traditional meals with the locals at the village of Coffee Bay

DAY 5

LAST DAY - COFFEE BAY TO THE AIRPORT (MTHATHA OR EAST LONDON APT)

After breakfast we will drive to Mthatha and visit Nelson Mandela Museum. After lunch we will drive and drop guests at Mthatha Airport.
