This 5 day tour is filled with the best of the Wild Coast. This Tour takes you through the wonders of the Wild Coast. The Tour starts from Durban and end up in east London. We can also start in East London and end up in Durban.
Pick up from Durban and drive to Mbotyi River Lodge. This is a 5 hour drive with stops on the way. Lunch will be held at Margate. While a Margate you will have few minutes of stretching your legs on the beach. From Margate we will drive to and start the Wild Coast driving through the towns of Bizana, (Winnie Mandela and Oliver Tambo's home Town), Flagstaff and Lusikisiki and later check inn at your lodge where you will have dinner and spend a night.
This day we will drive and take a tour of the area where we will visit about 4 waterfalls that includes Fraser's Waterfall, Angels Water Fall, Magwa Waterfalls and Waterfall Bluff if weather is good. We will also visit Magwa Tea Plantation factory on week days. We will also enjoy our lunch offered by the lodge looking at one of the waterfalls. Later go and relax at the lodge and also have sometime to take a walk on the beach. Dinner will be at the lodge.
Drive from Mbotyi to Port St John’s and take a tour of Port St John’s and later drive to Coffee Bay with a stop at Nelson Mandela Museum in Mthatha. From Mthatha we will drive to Coffee Bay enjoying beautiful scenery and rolling hills of the Wild Coast. Check inn at your lodge. If this falls on a Friday we will enjoy a Village Dinner with the local family or enjoy Sundowners with a beautiful view looking at the sea and watching the sun going down on the other side.
After breakfast we will drive to Hole in The Wall and later drive to Qunu, with a stop at the Nelson Mandela Youth and Heritage Center situated in Qunu, Nelson Mandela’s Village, here you also have an opportunity to play on the sliding stone where Dr Nelson Mandela used to slide with other boys while looking after their fathers cattle. From Qunu we will drive to Morgan Bay crossing the Kei River on a Ferry and check. We will end up at Cintsa where we will spend a night and have dinner at the Lodge.
Drive to East London and take a city tour and later drop at the airport for your flight or vehicle pick up for your next stop.
